On Saturday, St. Baldrick’s Lepre-Con 2016 succeeded in breaking the world record for the largest gathering of people dressed as leprechauns — while helping kids with cancer!

In a celebration presented by Sport Clips Haircuts, a whopping 1,466 people descended on Las Vegas dressed in their leprechaun best, successfully sham-rocking their way past the previous record set in Ireland in 2012.

Announcing the Winners of the First-Ever Battle of the Bald

It was the ultimate showdown — the first Battle of the Bald between colleges to see who could raise the most money for lifesaving childhood cancer research. Now, the dust has settled and the results are in!

First place:  Delta Tau Delta at Kennesaw State University

First prize goes to the Iota Theta chapter of Delta Tau Delta at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia, for their long-running Greeks Go Bald event. Held at a local mall to involve the whole community, the event raised a mind-blowing $33,042 in a mere two months.

New Orleans Clinic Brings Specialized Care to AYA Cancer Patients and Survivors

One of the institutions receiving an Infrastructure Grant this fall is Ochsner Children’s Health Center in New Orleans, which houses the unique combined Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer and Survivorship Program. Read on for more about how this program is making a difference and what St. Baldrick’s is doing to help.

The city of New Orleans, and its pediatric cancer care programs, were devastated in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

But since the floodwaters receded, the city of New Orleans has made a comeback and so has cancer care in the area — including a new program that’s one of only a few in the country.
