Join us and one day we’ll celebrate our unemployment when every child with cancer lives a long and healthy life.
We seek a mission-focused, seasoned, strategic, process-minded leader with experience scaling an organization and developing a performance culture among a group of diverse, talented individuals. The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will help others deliver measurable, cost-effective results that make the vision a reality. Importantly, the COO must possess the skills, sensitivity, and personal confidence to tap the power that each member of the team brings to this mission. While it is essential that the COO bring efficient and effective systems to increase the productivity of the organization, is it also critical that the team retain the culture of creative entrepreneurism, fun and hope that have been hallmarks of the St. Baldrick’s brand. We speak to several different audiences -- from those who may not yet know much about us, to those who raise funds through our signature head-shaving events, to those who benefit from the pediatric research grants we fund, to everyone in between. A majority of our audiences engage with us online – via our website and social. Another one of the main ways in which we communicate is email. So the question for you is this: do you have what it takes to get the right message to the right audience and written for the specific channel? If this describes you, we welcome you to join our team in our Monrovia offices. We’re looking for someone both strategic and tactical, someone who is half-brain creative writer and half-brain data geek. Find out more.

We love what we do, and we love why we do it. With plenty of laughs and just as many tears, we work together to make sure the biggest share of every dollar makes it into the hands of a researcher. And we have some fun along the way—after all, an organization that started with a few guys shaving their heads in a pub can’t be serious all the time.
