We’ve seen some creative emails from shavees asking for donations in the past, but this is one for the books.
This year will be Tom “Fro” Barnard’s eighth time shaving his head and if he raises $9,598, he’ll have cumulatively raised $50,000 for childhood cancer research since his first shave in 2007! To help him reach his fundraising goal, Tom sent out this appealing email ask letter — bumper sticker and all.
Take a read, print out his bumper sticker, and perhaps give a donation to help him reach his goal!

Are we there yet?
As of today, over $4,000 has been raised on my head. We have a long way to go to reach $9,598. With 60 donations counted, I am 43% ahead of last year’s pace. We need to keep the momentum rolling.
Going where?
I’m going bald. On March 17 (St. Patrick’s Day) I am shaving my head to raise money for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
I am shaving to show camaraderie with the cancer kids in treatment, to show support for their parents, and to raise funds for research.
My goal this year is to raise $50,000 lifetime for St. Baldrick’s. To reach $50K, I’ve posted a very ambitious total of $9,598. Compare that to my all-time high of $7,035.
To meet this lofty target, I need everyone to sweeten the pot by 50%. Will you increase your donation?
If you gave $10 before, make it $15. If you donated $25, how about $40? If you gave $50, to reach my goal, we’ll need $75. My $100 donors, I need you to go the extra half-mile and put up $150. This is a fundraiser! Dig deep.
If you haven’t donated on Fro’s head before, the suggested donation is… wait for it… $50.

Our travel game has begun!
I am asking you to print the ellipse, cut it out, and temporarily stick it on the back of your car (as if it were real).
My goal is to get as many Fro stickers on as many different vehicles in different places as possible.
If you don’t have a car, be creative: Where else do you see bumper stickers? Bicycles, laptop covers, musical instrument cases, refrigerators, school lockers…
