Looking for a great way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day AND make a difference? Go bald with us crazy head-shaving people!
We are the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a volunteer-powered childhood cancer charity that raises money for research through head-shaving events across the globe.
(We also got our start on St. Patrick’s Day, when three guys shaved bald in a bar to raise money for kids’ cancer research. But more on that later!)
As the second largest funder of childhood cancer research grants behind the United States government, St. Baldrick’s has funded more than $258 million in grants to researchers working to give kids with cancer a better future.

We think that’s a pretty good reason to join forces with us, but here are five more reasons why shaving with St. Baldrick’s on St. Paddy’s will rock your shamrocks!
1. You’ll make a difference
You might not get a day dedicated to you like St. Patrick did, but you can make a big difference in the lives of kids with cancer. The dollars you raise through St. Baldrick’s go to fund grants for researchers doing great work around the world!
2. You can give hope by raising green
St. Patrick’s Day is all about green — green duds, green swag, even green beer! But what’s more green than money? Gather the funds online or in a pot o’ gold (with or without the leprechaun) before your shave! Those dollars will support research to find better treatments for kids with cancer, so they can grow up to live long and healthy lives. And with all that green, we’re pretty sure you won’t get pinched. It’s a win-win!

3. Pay homage to history
St. Baldrick’s Foundation was started by three guys who shaved their heads in a pub on St. Patrick’s Day, hence the name: St. BALDrick’s. They started with a goal of $17,000 and blew it out of the water, eventually raising more than $100,000 for childhood cancer research. You never know what might happen when you brave the shave!

4. You’ll support the kids
Kids with cancer often lose their hair during treatment, so we shave to raise funds for childhood cancer research and to show kids with cancer that they’re not alone. So go bald in solidarity with our heroes!

5. It’s fun!
