I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The Vargi

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The Vargi

I shaved my head last year in honor of my great aunt Joannie who passed away as a result of an unknown cancer. Her death hit my family hard and we miss her daily. She was an amazing woman with a great sense of humor and a deep love of books. She worked a children's non-profit and loved her work.

This year, I'm shaving my head for the children and families who've been affected by cancer as well as Joannie.  Because of my adventures last year, I learned that my high-school friend lost her son just a coupe of short years ago to cancer.

I'm raising money to stop this narrative. To stop the stories of loss and start the stories of hope and success. By donating to St. Baldrick's, you are helping to fund research of childhood cancer - research that will save lives and allow families to have more time with their loved ones. Each dollar you donate will honor those we've lost to cancer and help protect those who have been diagnosed or will be diagnosed in the coming years.

If you have a moment, please donate whatever you can - $1 or more - and help make a difference in the lives of the families who have been touched by cancer.

(On a less serious note, my husband is actively competing against me and I can't let him win. Seriously. He'll brag and it'll be awful. )
