What is a shavee recruiter?

Shavee recruiters are part of the core volunteer committee for head-shaving events and are responsible for helping recruit participants to shave and raise funds. By working with the volunteer event organizer, the shavee recruiter helps create recruitment opportunities, welcome shavees as they register, as well as encourage and motivate shavees to be effective fundraisers.

How do I register to be a shavee recruiter?

The volunteer event organizer at your event will need to email you a link to register as a shavee recruiter for your event. You can only register as shavee recruiter using this link. If you haven't received an email, please check with your event organizer to make sure they nominated you as shavee recruiter. Or give your event coach a call – we'll be happy to help you out!

I want to reach out to participants from past years to invite them to this year’s event. How can I find/contact past participants?

To reach out to past participants from your event, go to the Communicate Section by clicking on the bubble icon in the top right corner of your Members Area. Compose a new message. From here you can choose to “add all” participants or select specific years by clicking on the participants’ link.

One of our past participants wants to be removed from my email communications. How do I do that?

If someone is looking to be removed from future email communications, please contact your event coach.

At the event, I collected all the Participant and Barber Agreements. What do I do with them now?

Please submit all the Participant and Barber Agreement forms to your event treasurer. The treasurer will then send them over to us along with all the proceeds collected at the event. It is very important that these legal documents make their way over to St. Baldrick's, so please don't forget to collect and submit them!

What do I do if there are people at the event who want to participate but are not registered?

If you have individuals at your event who haven’t registered online but are interested in participating as a shavee, please have them complete and sign the Participant Agreement form.

If you have Internet access while at your event, you can also use the Fast Registration tool located in your Members Area under Event Tools. If you don't have access to the Internet, be sure to collect all the Participant Agreements and use the Fast Registration function, after the event, to register them online.

What is Fast Registration and where can I find it?

Fast Registration is a tool that helps you register shavees for your event who are either having trouble registering, or are registering on the day of the event. To locate the Fast Registration tool simply log into your Members Area and click on the Fast Registration link under the Event Tools section.

All you need is the participant's first and last name, email address, gender, and legal status (adult/minor), and you can register as many shavees as you need!

Where can I find promotional materials to recruit volunteers?

You can find promotional materials in the Resource Lounge located in the Members Area under Event Tools. Once in the Resource Lounge, click on “Promote Your Event” for a list of tools. You can also connect with your VEO or event coach for additional support.
