I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded.

After losing our 2 year old daughter to Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma 16 years ago, our family became supporters of The St. Baldrick's Foundation by shaving our heads, organizing events and speaking around the state in the fight against childhood cancer.

Through the generous donations of time and money and hair, millions of dollars have been raised in Michigan for over a decade! This is so wonderful. And we are so grateful. For all those who have volunteered and helped out. For all of the shavees willing to give up their locks. And to all those who have donated.

However, more is needed. Why? Because children are still fighting for their lives. Thousands die every year. And I think you will agree with me when I say one more child dying is too many.

Please join us to help make a difference for children battling cancer and for their families who support them!

Donate what you can!

We understand that the economy has been tough. But cancer doesn't care about the state of the economy. And neither does a child fighting cancer. Pennies turn into dollars, and those dollars go directly to fund research. Every bit of support you can give counts, whether it is your hair, your time or a donation.

Thank you so much for supporting The St. Baldrick's Foundation!

I look forward to seeing all of our efforts to work towards ending childhood cancers in 2018!
