St. Baldrick’s Foundation Statement
Gabriella Miller Kids First Pediatric Research Program

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, the largest non-government funder of childhood cancer research grants, proudly supports the Gabriella Miller Kids First Pediatric Research Program at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Since its creation in 2014, this program has invested needed resources to collect genomic information on childhood cancers and other childhood diseases and conditions. Research is most effective with sustained, reliable, long-term funding.

For this reason, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation supports the reauthorization of the Gabriella Miller Kids First Pediatric Research Program. We recognize that there are currently two pieces of legislation that Congress in considering: H.R. 6556, the Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act 2.0, and H.R. 2234, the Jonny Wade Pediatric Cancer Research Act. We look forward to working with Congress as it considers these bills to make this important research program for children permanent.
