I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Rally for a Ryan

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Rally for a Ryan

I'm back for my 10th year participating as a shavee for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, and I couldn't be more thrilled to have the opportunity to once again support this absolutely amazing organization. My annual participation with St. Baldrick’s has and always will be to honor those who have won their battle with cancer and honor the memory of those heroes who fought with everything they had ‘till they had no more fight in them. We all know someone - a family member, classmate, neighbor, friend, colleague or acquaintance - who has fought cancer.

For those of you who don't know what St. Baldrick's is, it's a charity organization where you raise money to find cures for childhood cancers through research and then shave your head to stand in solidarity with the kids who often lose their hair during chemotherapy.

I would like to ask that you consider donating for my 10th year participating. In the past I've been asked about where the money goes, so here is some info regarding that:

- $50 provides two hours of a clinical trial, often a child’s best hope for a cure

- $100 covers a student to work in a pediatric oncology research lab for one week

- $250 allows for ten hours of research to improve patient and survivor quality of life

- Since 2005, St. Baldrick’s has funded more than $253 million in research grants to find cures for kids with cancer

One thing I love about shaving is that you get to help someone in need of help.  Once you have shaved or donated, it's the most amazing thing you could ever feel....a feeling of pride, compassion and empathy.  Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.  All you have to do is click on the green "DONATE" box to the right of my photo (see above).  The fastest way to donate is via credit card.  Every dollar is important, and no amount is EVER too small!!  Thank you in advance for your continued support, and I promise that it is a decision you will never regret.

Also, please note that for EVERY DOLLAR donated through my page, I WILL match it with a personal donation......the sky's the limit!!!!

I would like to dedicate my 2019 shave in honor of 2 special warriors:  Princess Eleanor Stephens was diagnosed at 3 months old with neuroblastoma.  She continues to fight and is a beaming ray of sunshine and inspiration to everyone.  Tori Parker is 19 years old and is bravely fighting lymphoma.

As I always say, “It's not what is on your head, but what is in your heart.”
