My Story

On March 2012, Trevor Scheerer our 4 year old son was diagnosed with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma stage 4 cancer, his type of cancer is very rare. He had to undergo 54 weeks of treatment, 28 days of radiation and surgery. In April 2013Trevor did finish his 54 week protocol but evidence of disease was still active. We were now able to have surgery and was accepted into a study where they test his tumor and figure out what chemo would be best. Surgery was done at the end of July and on October 2013 Trevor's test results showed N.E.D, no evidence of disease. Trevor was put on Maintenan ce chemo for 1 year. On December 5th 2014 Trevor relapsed, and on April 30th 2016 he passed away.
