I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Rally for Ryan

Hello!  This is my 9th year participating as a shavee for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, and I couldn't be more thrilled to have the opportunity to once again support this absolutely amazing organization.  I am shaving my head BALD in solidarity with kids fighting cancer but more importantly, to raise money to find life-saving cures and better treatments for those who are fighting.  I want children to be able to have the same opportunities that I had in growing up. No child should be robbed of their childhood.

My 2017 event in Viera, Florida was another incredible day of unity and excitement as 350+ heads were shaved, and $292,000 was raised for childhood cancer research!!! I am very, very proud to say that the St. Baldrick's Foundation has raised over $35 million so far in 2017......incredible!!!! However, there is still much research to be done and cures to be found as each and every day 46 kids are diagnosed with cancer and 7 kids lose their battle with this disease.

I am so very honored to once again be on Team "Rally for Ryan".   His journey  is listed among the "Kids Honored" section below.....please read all of their inspiring stories!!!!

I would like to dedicate my 2018 shave to the memory of 2 very special kids who recently passed away from DIPG (an inoperable, incurable cancerous brain tumor) this year:  Anthony "Bossman" Franzini (forever 12) and Kayne Finley (forever 18).  These superheros fought their illness with bravery and courage, and they will forever be remembered for their love of life and their inspiration that they shared with the world.  I am also shaving in honor of Princess Eleanor Stephens who was diagnosed at 3 months old with neuroblastoma.  She continues to fight and is a beaming ray of sunshine to everyone.

This website is a testament to the strength and courage that children with this disease display.  I hope that my attempt to help raise awareness of the disease and funds to aid in trying to find a cure will make a measurable difference in the lives of you, me, and the children afflicted by cancer.

I would like to stress that even donations of $1, $5, or $10 are more than welcome, and the thousands of children that this organization helps are very thankful for any and all that you are able to give. I will wear my baldness proudly knowing that I have done something to help children hopefully get the same chance to enjoy life as I have been able to do.  It's not what is on your head, but what is in your heart.  I shave because I care and because these kids deserve the very, very best that we can give them!!!!  Thank you!!!
