I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

This is not about making a personal statement...this is about making a bigger impact then I could do alone. I wrestled with the idea of walking around with my head shaved and felt torn between looking strange for a little while vs. following my heart. In the end I can live with looking a bit odd for the short term, but couldn't deal with not following my heart. I donate when I can, but this takes it to the next level by raising awareness to many others - and collectively we can make a bigger impact than just me alone. I have seen my friends suffer as they watched their beautiful children deteriorate and eventually earn their wings. I don't even fully understand why I feel such compassion to do something this crazy...but it's just hair and it grows back. Thank you so very much for donating and choosing to make a different future for our kids.
