Event Details

Be a hero for kids with cancer! Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head(I'll be the first in line!), volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

In the last two years I have been made aware of the pervasiveness of childhood cancer. I have discovered kids being diagnosed through friends, news stories, online forums, and most importantly Facebook. So many of these families are reaching out through social media to ask for help, support, demand new research, and to share the battle their children face with friends and family. These kids are suffering through treatments that are decades old, or simply designed for an adult body. This past year I lost a friend due to the secondary cancer she developed from treatment received as a child. I can't think of anything worse than watching one of my children go through that, as a child or an adult. I refuse to go along with the decades old status quo. We need new treatment options now.

It's time to stand up and make a difference. We need to raise money for research, raise awareness, and most of all educate our care providers on how to RECOGNIZE the symptoms of these cancers. Too many are misdiagnosed early on, giving the cancer time to do it's worst to their little bodies. Classic symptoms are overlooked. This is not acceptable. Let's do our part to help KICK CHILDHOOD CANCERS FLIPPIN A**!

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
