2017 46 Mommas Shave for the Brave

Each weekday in North America, approximately 46 mothers are told that their child has cancer. The 46 Mommas represent all mothers who make the cancer journey with their child. We come from across the U.S. and Canada and have different backgrounds, beliefs, and lifestyles, but there is one thing we all have in common – childhood cancer. Each year, a new class of Mommas is welcomed to the team in an effort to empower and engage mothers of children who have or had cancer and to raise critical research funding. In 2010, our inaugural team took the name 46 Mommas Shave for the Brave and established a fundraising goal of $1 million for the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Our campaign has now raised more than $1.9 million, and we're not going to stop! For our 8th national shave, the 46 Mommas are gonna boogie back to TEXAS! We hit our first million in 2013 in San Antonio, and we'll hit our second in AUSTIN! Join us as we Keep it Weird and BALD in the Live Music Capital of the World and continue our mission to fund the most promising childhood cancer research. Come watch these brave and beautiful Mommas go bald in honor of their own children and all children who have fought cancer. And if you can't make it to the event, please consider a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation! Thank you, and Don't Mess with Mommas! If you are the mother of a child who has or had cancer and you would like to be a member of the 2017 team, please email membership@46mommas.com to request an application. We look forward to shaving with you!

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
