PHOTOS FROM THE PAST 4 YEARS ARE LOCATED HERE: http://stbaldricks.radfiles.net More News: The Douglas County Sheriff's Office and The St. Baldrick's Foundation has partnered with the Colorado Mammoth Lacrosse team to "Lacrosse out Cancer!" Our event is on March 25th, 2011 and the Mammoth's Lacrosse out Cancer game is the following day on the 26th. Purchasing tickets to that game costs $15.00 for single tickets. 50% of the ticket sales will go towards our event! Tickets can be purchased at www.pepsicenter.com/groups/mammoth/shave. This will be our 5th year raising funds and raising awareness for childhood cancer research. I am absolutely amazed at the dedication and generosity that continues to grow each year we hold this fundraiser. It simply cannot be done without you. Here is a little history. This fundraiser began in 2007, with Deputy Mike French organizing the first event honoring Isabella Ackerson and Chase Kluth. Two beautiful children taken from us too soon. The event was held in the jury assembly room at the Douglas County Sheriff's Office for 3 years. Sports celebrities from the NFL, NHL, and Olympic's have participated in the event. Jake Schroeder, whose notoriety stems from "Opie Gone Bad," and the voice of the National Anthem for the Colorado Avalanche, has beautifully kicked off the event with his powerful voice. Five years later and over $500,000 raised for researching childhood cancer, AMAZING! According to the National Cancer Institute (NCI), In the United States in 2007, approximately 10,400 children under age 15 were diagnosed with cancer and about 1,545 children will die from the disease. Sadly, 1,545 children is 1,545 too many. Events, such as St. Baldrick's, help fund research to provide patients safer medicine, more scientific research, and more researchers to investigate deeper into the recesses of the human chromosome to find a cure for deadly cancers affecting our children. Please donate what you can for this organization. Every little bit counts, even though the economy is in shambles, so are these children and their families. Thank You!In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.To make a donation, click on "Make A Donation" or donate by mail or phone.Thank you for your support!

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
