I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hi there, my name is Francesco, I am a 30-year old guy. I recently turned 30, and I wanted to do something to remember for this step of my life. I received an invitation, and I decided to support St. Baldrick's Foundation being a virtual shavee (I am shaving my head for real, no kidding!!!). I decided to honor three guys and three girls during this shaving event. I picked them from the suggested children to honor, but I don't know them (unfortunately some of them are passed away). I am a postdoctoral research fellow in the field of cancer biology, and I realize how devasting this disease can be. Cancer arrives with no warning, and it changes the life of the ones affected, family and friends around them. It is even more devastating when a child has to face this terrible disease. I understand that this is just a symbolic action, but who knows me can easily understand how passionate I am for this and similar causes so who cares about my hair? Let's shave it and keep that way to support all the kids around the word and all the other cancer patients around the world. When I was a kid my dream was to fight diseases and help people. After almost 20 years, the dream is the same. Hope to make some contribution to cancer research with this event. Please support me and make a donation if you can, even the value of a coffee and remember it is not the donation that counts, but the message and action behind it. Thank you very much!!!!
