My Story

Angela was diagnosed with stage IV Wilm's Tumor in January of 2006 just 3 weeks before her 2nd birthday. Her primary tumor was on her right kidney and was the size of a cantaloupe when it was discovered. She also had 4 tumors in her right lung. She had 2 major surgeries, 1 minor surgery, 3 weeks of radiation, and over 7 months of chemotherapy. As of February 2008, Angela is 18 months cancer free! Angela is a very independent girl. She has a way of thinking that is all her own. Raising a toddler with these qualities can be difficult but we remind ourselves that these are the qualities that help Angela fight cancer and to survive. We pray that she will continue on this path to a healthy, long life.
