St. Baldrick's/Community Hospital GJ Head Shaving Event

Be a hero for kids with cancer and join our local St. Baldrick's fundraiser! Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Grand Junction's 5th annual St. Baldrick’s Foundation fundraiser will be held on Saturday, June 25, 11AM-4PM at the Lincoln Park Barn.

Shavees will take the stage to have their heads professionally shaved, all to raise money for childhood cancer research. Event organizers hope to raise $75,000 and shave 200 heads during the event. Since it began in 2012, the Grand Junction event has raised nearly $200,000 for St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

Participants show solidarity with children who frequently lose their hair during cancer treatment. Shavees and volunteers often form a fundraising team of friends, family, and associates. Other individuals and organizations can participate by donating directly on the website or at the event or helping to sponsor the event.

Sign up to shave, volunteer, or donate here. In addition to head-shaving, local families affected by childhood cancer will share their stories, and we will have many outstanding silent and live auction items on sale to benefit the Foundation.
