Martin's East

Come out to Martin's East to help us raise money to fight childhood cancer. In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. At the event you'll see members of your local police and fire depts, hospitals, businesses, and even individuals shave their heads for the cause. There will be many fun activities at this family friendly event. There will be raffles, auctions, Lucky's carnival games, gaming wheels provided by the Middle River Volunteer Ambulance Rescue Company, Inc., green hair spraying, face painting, music, balloon animals by Creative Occasions, and good times had by all. Special guest speaker Dr. Raabe, a third year recipient of St. Baldrick's funding, will speak about his research on pediatric brain tumors, and how the St. Baldrick's Foundation helps us all out. Martin's caterers will be serving food and drink as follows: -Pit beef, ham, and turkey sandwiches - $6.00 -Chicken tenders with fries - $5.00 -Hot dog or Nachos and cheese - $4.00 -Pizza or French fries - $2.00 -Assorted cut cakes - $2.00 -Assorted cookies (2) - $1.00 -Draft beer - $2.00/cup $8.00/Pitcher -Soda - $1.00/2 cups Getting involved:You can sponsor someone who is shaving their head, become a shavee (as an individual or by joining a team) to help raise money, or start your own team of shavees and work together to meet your fundraising goals. Either way, the children who are currently fighting these terrible diseases, and those who may in the future, are the ones who benefit from all of your compassion. Hope to see you all there! If you have any questions, please contact Dan Jarkiewicz at jark555@yahoo.com.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
