It's that time of year again folks, to dig deep and sponsor your favorite shavee! I have exciting news, the event will be held on Saturday, March 14th, 2015. That means we have approximately two and a half months to try to reach a $50,000.00 goal.
In 2006, my daughter Isabella Ackerson, was diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). Izzy ultimately succumbed to the disease later in the year. Since 2007, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office has worked with the St. Baldrick's foundation to raise money for life saving research. The Colorado branch of Children's Hospital has benefitted from St. Baldrick's almost every year along with various research facilities across the globe. This event is not only to honor those affected by cancer, but the families cancer has touched and to assist doctor's, scientists, as well as research. They cannot do it without our help! Create a team, grow those locks, and come join the Sheriff's Office for fun, food, refreshments and meet folks from the community!
