I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: The Cancer Destroyers

I am 9 years -old and I was inspired to shave my head in honor of my baby sister with leukemia at a St. Baldrick's event last year that she and my family participated in. I am doing it again this year and have started a web page to raise money in her honor. I have not cut my hair since last year's event. My sister, Gina-Marie (7 years old) is also planning on cutting off 10 inches of her hair for Locks of Love to make a wig for a child with cancer. My sister, (Katherine) Katie-Belle Cooley ( now 2 1/2 years old), was diagnosed with infant leukemia when she was only 8 months old. My family and I have stood by her through a difficult 2 years of treatment. She is in remission and has just finished her treatment early due to a severe case of PCP pneumonia which landed her in the hospital for 6 weeks. Over the Christmas holiday she was on a ventilator for 18days. The pneumonia was caused by the chemotherapy supressing her immune system. She is a fighter and she is recovering so that we can all be together again. Some of her friends like,Rachael Gleason, whom I am also honoring did not survive their cancers. We need better and safer cures. Please help me help my baby sister and her friends with childhood cancer!
