I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Alpha Chi Omega for Julie Tamborino

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Alpha Chi Omega for Julie Tamborino

I'm finally shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! I've wanted to do this since the 7th grade when Meagan Broadfield suggested it to me. And now it's finally time. Cancer has effected every single person on this planet, indirectly or not. This past year I met a girl, who somehow turned into my roommate, who then somehow turned into my best friend. Knowing her has inspired me on a level I cannot put into words. Her sister died of leukemia just over 2 years ago, and although I never got the chance to meet her, I can see, through her family and my best friend, how incredible and wonderful of a person she was. She touched my life without being here and even though she's gone, she's a constant reminder to appreciate everything and laugh too often. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this kind of experience. No one should lose a sister, friend, or child to something so unfair. And for that reason, I'm taking a stand.

Please support me in the fight to end childhood cancer. Donate what you can. I appreciate whatever you can give. I hope that in time, the heartbreak that is associated with cancer is replaced with hope and inspiration.
