I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: For the Wilcox/PAU kids!

Please join me in supporting Pediatric Cancer Research. I’ve signed up for the first St. Baldrick’s event in Hawaii. Yes, I’m having my head shaved to help raise awareness and funds to support research that will benefit children diagnosed with cancer. As a pediatric oncology nurse for the past 25 years, I have had the privilege of caring for many beautiful and brave children and families during their cancer treatment. I have witnessed and participated in the administration of new medications, new technology, diagnostic work-ups, treatment modalities and overall approach to pediatric cancer care that have improved survival and managed symptoms (pain, nausea, infection) for these children. These innovations in care were all made possible through ongoing research. There’s so much more to be discovered to conquer kid’s cancer.
