I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Those who know me, know I donate 12 inches of my hair every 2 years. I've been doing so for the past 8 years.

It all started 9 years ago when my favorite cousin Norma got diagnosed with cancer.  She just turned 40 that year and she just passed away this year, after battling for 9 years she finally lost the fight.  Her mom (my aunt) had also passed away in 1989 after lasting only 1 year and a half in the same battle against cancer.  My dad is the only man that I know that was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Luckily he battled for 5 years and won the battle and he is now cancer free. I do have another very close member of my family that is dear to my heart and she just rang the bell a few weeks ago for also for being cancer free.

Those are close to my heart, not counting the numerous other far cousins I have on my dad's side of the family that passed away or are still battling cancer.  My husband also has lost several members of his family to cancer as well in the past few years.  I'm shaving my hair this year because since my cousin got diagnosed I've been donating 12 inches to help people who can't have hair have a smile on their face with my hair. This year, since she lost the battle, I decided to take the extra step and shave my head so I can help more people and help find a cure. So March 27, 2021  at 3:00 PM I'll be live on zoom at " Let It Shine" hair salon. I'll be donating my hair to the Children With Hair Loss foundation, and after cutting it, I'll be shaving my hair for the St. Baldrick Foundation.

Please donate if you can to help to make a person with cancer smile and be happier. If you can't donate please share, share, share....

Thank you all for your time and support .
