I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Melodies

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! (If I get enough donations) If I can't raise more than 1000 I will save the shave for another year. That being said, I feel as though our patients will really benefit from the "bald" doctors and nurses in clinic. Often the most upsetting part of their diagnosis is the fact that they will lose their hair. "Will I lose my hair?" is usually the first question the child asks. Everyone has heard it said that "Talk is cheap" and "actions speak louder than words". This year I would like to show our kids that "bald really is beautiful" by sporting the look myself. In the process we can come even closer to our dreams of a cure by funding the research needed to save these children. Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. Lets make a difference this year, lets make a statement, lets show these brave children how much we admire their courage and determination. .

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
