You heard it right - I'm shaving my head!
As the marathon and triathlon season approaches, the temperatures will soon begin to climb, weekly bike rides will be longer, and faster run paces logged. I began 2010 by creating my personal training schedule and registering for races held in February through November. In addition to training, I'm hoping and praying that my recently repaired knee stays healthy and injury free. Another part of the preparation is cutting my hair short to be more comfortable in the hot and humid summer temperatures.
I then decided to shave my head for a much better cause. I'll be SHAVING my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research! The thought that so many children do not get to live out their dreams or experience a passion for a hobby is simple unfair.
In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.

Thank you for your support!
