I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: UMaine Circle K

I came to UMaine in 2011. At my first ever UMaine Circle K meeting I was told about this event where people shaved their heads. Why did they shave their heads? They shaved their heads to stand in solidarity with children who have cancer. They shaved their heads to show that there was nothing to fear, that they were not alone and I wanted to help.

5 years , 4 head shavings, and 3 years as an event organizer here I am, more passionate than ever, more determined to continue what I started 5 years ago. I want to make a difference, I want to help the children, I want to raise awareness and help children worldwide.

As my last event at UMaine, my last year organizer an event that has inspired me  and meant so much these past 5 years I want my last year to end with a bang! Please help me reach my goal, help me raise awareness, help me make a difference!

Yours in Caring,

Daniel Norwood
