I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research; to put a face to this disease that I've watched my now 10 year old, fight since he was 6. I'm shaving my head because the treatments my son receives could cause serious long term side effects such as sterility, stunt his growth, and even additional cancers. I'm shaving my head because my son will have to go through a bone marrow transplant because his cancer has come back. I'm shaving my head because I can no longer sit in the oncology clinics and watch these little people bravely face endless pokes, scans, toxic chemicals and radiation that make them sick and increase their risks of further cancers. I am shaving my head to honor my son and EVERY child that has fought and will fight this battle.
Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
