I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Going Bald and Beautiful for the Kids at UNC!!

I borrowed this from another participant's page, because honestly, I couldn't have said it better myself. THE TOP 10 REASONS TO BE BRAVE & SHAVE (at a St. BALDRICK'S EVENT...) #10-It will be one of the most fun & most rewarding experiences of your entire life. # 9-This is such a fun haircut that kids will rub your head and giggle. # 8-This is a confidence boosting adventure with an experience in liberation like never before. # 7-Zero hair-care for at least a month and that means more time for you. # 6-Hair is an accessory not a necessity and bald goes with everything. # 5-Rocking a bald noggin in the spring means cool short hair for the long hot summer. # 4-Bald is Hot!!! ...you will be amazed at the compliments. # 3-The excitement of the first time you feel your head "sans" hair and that first shower is awesome! # 2-Winning a major battle against some really useless stuff like fear and vanity. And the #1 reason to be a shavee for this event... BALD REALLY IS BEAUTIFUL and ESPECIALLY SO WHEN IT'S TO HELP KIDS WITH CANCER! Each year thousands of men, women and children sit beneath the St. Baldricks capes to emerge as bald by choice heroes raising funds and awareness for childrens cancer research while showing solidarity for all those who have no choice about losing their hair to the harshness of todays treatments. The shavee is the backbone of St. Baldricks commitment to help kids with cancer while establishing a future where kids will never have cancer again. The haircut is simply an amazing gesture of love and support for all those battling this merciless disease. In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure. To make a donation, click on "Make A Donation" or donate by mail or phone. Thank you for your support! .
