We are very excited to announce that our 20th Annual St. Baldrick’s Day Fundraiser for Childhood Cancer Research will take place on Sunday March 30, 2025 at Kitty Hoyne’s in Armory Square in Downtown Syracuse, NY.
Our Kitty Hoyne’s family, lead by David & Cindy Hoyne, were instrumental in bringing this worldwide fundraising phenomenon to Central New York in the Spring of 2005, and after significant success locally, it became the conduit for so many organizations to launch their own events all over the region, spreading the love to so many families and children who continue to fight childhood cancer.
Our event brought together so many cancer families and their children, which, in turn, brought together so many caring people who fought so hard to raise money to support the St. Baldrick’s organization and its mission to eradicate childhood cancer. Everyone who passed through our doors in Armory Square for all those years has delivered on our promise. Over 19 years, we have raised over $6.7 million dollars and shaved close to 7500 heads. We topped the worldwide fundraising charts for several of those years, including a 4 year span from 2016 through 2019, delivering a half a million dollars or more each year, over those 4 remarkable campaigns.
With that being said, we all feel it’s time to pass the torch, and announce that this campaign will be our last at Kitty Hoyne’s. That obviously provides us with a chance to bring together everyone, and we mean EVERYONE, who has been a part of this amazing family over the course of 19 years. If you have shaved, if you have donated, if you were a stylist / barber, or if you simply prayed for all of our wonderful families, we want you to join us in March. If you are new to this event, we certainly welcome you to join us as well,
Our event page will be up and running on January 1, 2025. Please sign up, please raise as much as you can, and help us to make one of the best things we have ever undertaken become the most successful ever!
Love you all. Let’s bring the whole family back together!
With our gratitude and appreciation.
