Event Details

This is your chance to make a difference for children battling CANCER in your community! Join us for a "Hair-Raising" Day! Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland, the Keaton Raphael Memorial (KRM) and Bay Street Shopping Center, invites the community, schools, businesses, and anyone with hair to Go Bald by the Bay, for kids fighting cancer. Shavees are asked to Pre-Register online, create a team (or sign up as an individual), then start collecting pledges. Bringing family and friends to help cheer on participants at the event is highly encouraged! Those who can't part with their locks can support the celebration by recruiting someone else to shave with us, making a donation online or by becoming an event sponsor. The celebrations promise lively shenanigans and are fun for the entire family. Since 2008, with the help of the northern California community, our event has raised over $135,000 at local St. Baldricks celebrations and shaved 140 heads! Because of YOU, our event is the largest and most successful St. Baldrick's celebration in the Bay Area! With the help of the Bay Area our event could be the biggest event for the entire St. Baldrick's organization. Consider any size gift you can handle... if everyone in the Bay Area donated even $1.00 we would raise over a million for childhood cancer research! We know times are tough but so is being a kid and having cancer, so show you care...it's only hair! Thanks and tell everyone you know to help YOU shave the way to a cure!
