Thank you so much for registering for TeamBrent St. Baldrick’s Foundation head shaving celebration on Sunday Mar 25th at the Westport YMCA. This is our 14th year and we have raised over FOUR MILLION DOLLARS for the St. Badlrick’s Foundation during that time. We’ve seen the money make a huge impact, changing cure rates (slowly but surely- but slowly) for kids with cancer. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Please join us for some fun as we fund life saving childhood cancer cures. We'd love to have you at this event, March 25th, but if it doesn't work for you, join ANY St. Baldrick's event and make a difference in the lives of children. The funds all go to the same place - so pick whatever is convenient for you!
Registration opens at 12. Opening Ceremonies will kick off promptly at 12:30 hosted by Sportscaster
Deb Kaufman Placey, and will feature St Baldrick's Chairman Mike McCreesh and Charlie Capalbo (warrior on & off the ice). We will then shave heads from 1-2 while DJ
Ed Train spins tunes, Once Upon a Face Designs paints heads, Mr. Dave wows with balloon artistry & our studio photographer Heidi Curran clicks away! Participants can enjoy free use of the YMCA for the day (pool, fitness center, child play area), so bring a towel! Come hungry for amazing baked goods from our bake sale, or visit the Sweet Cupcations cupcake truck outside (winner of the Food Network’s cupcake wars). Submit a child to be honored, shave for someone already registered, or shave for ALL the kids fighting. Whatever you do, it will make a difference.
Walkins are welcome, but we can plan better if you register online - you're already here so why not? Thanks!
--------------------
Each year the St. Baldrick s Foundation officially honors an elite group who has helped shape St. Baldrick’s by being involved for at least seven years. These participants are inducted into the St. Baldrick's Knights of the Bald Table. Less than 1% of participants are Knights, yet we have been pleased to Knight 99 (!!!) people at our events. This # is ridiculously high and says a lot about the passion of our community.
We are thrilled to recognize our TeamBrent Half-Lifers, kids who have spent over half their lives shaving their heads for St. Baldrick's. Half Lifers, please stop by the Half Lifer table and pick up a green glow necklace so that everyone can recognize your commitment!
Parking at the Red Barn (292 Wilton Road, Westport) with NONSTOP SHUTTLES to the Y.
