March 2016 My daughter Jamie and I have been hosting this event for 14 years. Jamie was 12 years old when she was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia. She went through 2 1/2 years of treatment. We started this event in 2003. We raised $6,000 . A total that we were very pleased with ! Fast forward to 2016..... our school is $128,000 away from ONE MILLION DOLLARS!I can't begin to thank each and every one of you for your support over these years. St. Albert the Great is so incredibly generous and still giving ! Some people have told me that this is our (Jamie's and mine) event , but that could not be farther from the truth. You see, our family's journey ended thirteen years ago with a success story. Jamie is 26 years old, graduated from college and working in the adult world. The reason that we still do this event is to give every child diagnosed with cancer a chance to grow old. Childhood cancer research is the best place for our money to go. Thank you St. Baldrick's for giving cancer parents and patients a way to give back all the love and support that was given to us. We are paying it forward to the next generation! Please help us reach our $1,000,000 goal and make a difference in a cancer child's life !
