Claddagh Ring Pub

In an effort to 'Conquer Kids' Cancer,' The Claddagh Ring Pub has proudly hosted a St. Baldrick's head-shaving event annually since 2009. In the past 5 years we have raised over $77,000.00 to help The St. Baldrick's Foundation in their efforts to find a cure for kids' cancer. The Claddagh Ring continues its support again this year, by hosting the 6th Annual St. Baldrick's Head-Shaving Event, Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 7p. As in years past, we will have a variety of food donated from generous local restaraunts, as well as some great prizes in our various raffles, which are also donated by some very generous businesses! So we are kindly asking for your support again this year, as we continue our efforts to 'Conquer Kids' Cancer!' Be a hero for kids with cancer!Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. "It certainly is great to know that my involvement may be helping, in some way, someone who could be my neighbor," said James Kearney, volunteer event organizer of the Claddagh Ring Chicago St. Baldrick's event, in response to a multi-million dollar grant to Northwestern University. "I have already shared the news of the funding with my event participants and we all share the excitement that by shaving our heads and raising some money, the kids in our community who may be affected by cancer receive the benefits of our efforts."

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
