Celebrating 25 Years

St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.

"Each game of chess means there's one less variation left to be played." Or, in our case, "Each dollar possessed means there's one less kid with cancer on this planet." Sorry. We didn't write the music, however, every member in this group is a part of McHenry High School's spring musical, Chess . We can't shave our heads until after the final performance, but after the curtain goes down for the final time, we will lose our hair on stage in front of the entire audience. "This is a great day for American chess!"
