TeamBrent was created in 2005 to battle childhood cancer alongside 3yr old Brent. Today he is a survivor who has no recollection of his treatment - but the fight goes on. Brent is living proof that your efforts make a difference.
Since the mid-1950s, research has improved the survival rates for childhood cancer from less than 10% to almost 80% overall. Cure rates vary according to each specific type of childhood cancer. Some types remain very difficult to cure. All cure rates need to be improved..... NO CHILD SHOULD DIE OF CANCER and we will shave and fight until that day comes. As you read this doctors are using the funds raised during last year's St. Baldrick's events to work on researching new ways to fight childhood cancer. We all rest in the shade of trees we did not plant.
