Meet the two boys behind Hudson & Bennett’s Gold Brigade. ?
Hudson was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma at just 5 years old. He endured months of intensive chemotherapy and a major limb-salvage surgery at Memorial Sloan in NYC to remove the tumor from his right arm and reconstruct his humerus with a bone from his leg, cadaver bone, and hardware. After 14 rounds of chemotherapy, Hudson finished treatment in February 2026 and thankfully shows no evidence of disease. His family knows firsthand just how desperately children need better, safer and more effective cancer treatments.
Bennett’s journey began this year when headaches, double vision and other concerning symptoms led doctors to discover a tumor in his brain. His family was told they could be facing brain cancer, and Bennett was sent to St. Jude/Le Bonheur in Memphis for surgery. Thankfully, surgeons were able to completely remove the tumor, and pathology brought the incredible news that it was a rare benign infantile hemangioma rather than cancer. That experience gave Bennett’s family a perspective on childhood cancer they never expected to have and a reason to stand beside families who do receive that diagnosis.
Now these two friends are joining forces for St. Baldrick’s.
This is the 25th year of St. Baldrick’s raising funds for childhood cancer research. While incredible progress has been made, children are still being diagnosed every day, treatments can be incredibly harsh, and far too many families are still left without the answers they desperately need.
Please join us at Hudson & Bennett’s Gold Brigade or support our team with a donation. Every dollar raised helps fund research aimed at finding less brutal but more effective treatments and cures for kids with cancer.
