“Doing It for Hudson (and the Shine)”

Alright everyone… it’s happening again for the fourteenth time.

The annual “Mark willingly becomes a human lightbulb” event is officially underway.

But this year, it’s different — and it’s a bit more personal.

I’m blessed to follow in my daughter and son‑in‑law’s footsteps and honor Hudson, our St. Baldrick’s Honored Child and a Ewing Sarcoma survivor. This kid is tougher than I’ll ever be. He’s fought battles no child should have to face, and he’s come out stronger, braver, and more inspiring than I can put into words.

Children like Hudson is the reason I shave.

The reason I show up.

The reason I don’t complain (much) when my head blinds people in direct sunlight.

Every donation “on my head” goes to childhood cancer research — the kind of research that helped Hudson fight, heal, and thrive. The kind of research that gives families hope when they need it most.

So yes, I’m going bald again.

Yes, I’ll look like a freshly waxed cue ball.

And yes, you should absolutely donate — for Hudson, for kids still fighting, and for the chance to witness my transformation into a man who needs SPF 1000.

Let’s do this for Hudson.

Let’s do this for every child who deserves a future.

Let’s do this together.

Donate below — do it for the kids, do it for the cause, do it for the shine.
