I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: One Love

Hello Everyone:

We are back and more determined than ever for our thirteenth year of participating in our local St. Baldrick's event! This one is bittersweet as the organizers have announced this is the last TeamBrent event we will have.

The fight is far from over and St. Baldrick’s will continue to go on and grow, and in order to do so it is time for TeamBrent to hang up its organizer role and turn their attention towards helping other groups grow. Special thanks to the McCreesh family for starting all of this and growing St. Baldrick’s! Do not worry, there are many events we will be able to join or start on of our own (right Matt Wilcox) after this one.

As always, we want to thank you for your past support. Since pediatric cancer still exists and targets our children, we hope you can continue to support Team One Love once again at this year's event.

We are raising money to fight pediatric cancer in the loving memory of my brother-in-law, Ryan Charles Brennan. It has been eight years since Ryan lost his courageous and determined fight against cancer, and although Ryan is no longer with us, we all take great comfort in the daily events we see, read and hear that keep Ryan's memory alive and well.

I am very proud to announce that once again and despite being a sophmore in high school my son Matt is shaving his head. Matt is continuing having the rare distinction of being a BALD STAR which is an honor reserved for those who have spent over half their lives shaving their heads for a cure. Way to go Matt and can’t wait for you to get a haircut!

Team One Love is asking you to make a donation (any donation) to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure.

All are welcome to join Team One Love and we are pleased that Fairfield Prep’s own Andrew, Jack and have joined Team One Love and look forward to others joining. For those who want t to come out and attend this year's event the final TeamBrent event will be held on Sunday, March 24th at the Westport YMCA located at 14 Allen Raymond Lane, beginning at 12:00 PM.

We want to thank you in advance for continuing to support us and please feel free to pass this along to anyone you can think of to help fight pediatric cancer.

Best regards,

Team One Love
