Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers, and childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded? It is true, So I have decided to do something about it by shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research and ultimately for a cure.
Kids with cancer is the reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind the event and the reason we're helping fund childhood cancer research. I believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities.
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
I am so happy to honor Hagan again this year. Hagan was diagnosed with his brain tumor (stage 2 Ependymoma) on July 29, 2013. Even through all the surgeries and treatments, he stays strong and handles everything in stride. His mom believes that one advantage is his age, because he has amazing ability to cope and still even have the urge to play after experiencing something not so pleasant even moments prior! Hagan is a warrior and has inspired so many with his courageous story. He is involved in many studies and hopefully his progression through treatment will provide answers for future ependymoma cases. Every night, Hagan and his family pray for not only his recovery, but for all children in treatment. Hagan is currently in remission and will celebrate his 7th birthday in April!!
