I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

This is my 10th year of shaving my head in order to raise funds for cancer research. So far, I have raised $10,525. I started doing this when I was just 6 years old with my cousin Katie who was battling cancer. Sadly, Katie passed away on May 20,2011. A cousin on the other side of my family, Hunter, is now 16 and doing really good following treatment for a brain tumor. My Nana has been surviving brain cancer for about 4 years, so in her honor too. My uncle Joe Brunk bravely fought and passed away from brain cancer, and I am doing this for him! I want to also honor 2 others this year. My friend Shane Moylan who is in remission for nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin's Lymphoma. And Catherine Nester who is currently beating the fight against Hodgkin's Lymphoma. my own health was effected when I had a brain hemorrhage from a cavernous angioma in October of 2011. I am working hard in my own recovery from my brain bleeds, and have been busy supporting the Angioma Alliance, but it is still very important to me to help other kids living with diseases. Thank you for helping to end childhood cancer once and for all! Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have the life they deserve!
