I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Julian's Joust

Hello. My name is Brayden and I am 8 years old. On August 4th, 2011, my then 6 year old brother, Julian was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma. I was 2 1/2 years old. Life would change as we knew it. My brother would lose his hair, throw up all the time and he hurt. However, he fought with everything he had. I was beside him through every treatment, surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, bone marrow aspiration and transplant. Every clinic trial! We went to 4 different hospitals and spent numerous hours in Ronald McDonald houses, hotel rooms, Doctor appointments and inpatient stays. They even let me spend the night with him. I grew up in hospitals. Holding his hand, snuggling him, and the best part was irritating him. When wake up from sedation, I would sing his least favorite songs very loudly, so he'd wake up quicker so we could go play. He was my hero. On August 6th, 2015, I kissed my brother for the last time. We had just returned from the most magical place on earth (Disney) where my 10 year old brother had a seizure and was airlifted to the children's hospital of Philadelphia. Mom went with him and I joined dad on a commercial flight back. Grandma and grandpa came from upstate NY to bring me home. I wanted to stay but Mom and Dad thought it best, I leave. I leaned over and kissed him. My brother lost his battle on August 8, 2015. A part of me died with him that day. He had a wish to find a cure for childhood cancer and we shaved together numerous times. You can read more about that here:
