I'm coloring my hair and then shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true, and childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. But first, I thought it would be fun to have the students, staff & friends at Beaumont help me decide which color I should dye my hair for the 2 weeks prior to our shave date, May 21st. Any donation of $10.00 earns a vote. Multiple “votes” are allowed.
Will your class make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
Check my before photo after May 8th to see my new hair color!
Here is the current vote tally:
1 - Red
7 - Orange
40 - Green
4 - Blue
0 - Purple (2016 winner)
0 - Pink (2015 winner)
0 - Black
AND GREEN WINS!!!
The voting is over, but it's not too late to donate!
***Disregard below***
Votes will be accepted through the end of the day, Friday, May 5th and I will come to school with dyed hair the following Monday, May 8th. If you make an online donation, please email me and let me know which color is getting your vote - email@address.
*If the contest ends in any form of a tie, I will incorporate the tied colors in my hair in some way (2 color maximum).
