I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Hope For Daisy

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Hope For Daisy

When my six year old daughter was diagnosed with cancer, it was the worst day of my entire life. It was shocking, breathtaking news that I have still never recovered from.  Our world turned completely upside down on that very day. Watching our daughter go through radiation and chemotherapy then lose her beautiful hair were all so difficult. To watch her have a port implanted and have a shunt implanted in her head and to see her struggle and witness her unable to eat, drink, walk and even talk were excruciating .  Her Oncologist told us that if her cancer returned, there wasn't anything we could do because the type of cancer she had, didn't respond to treatment a second time. I have never prayed as hard for anything in my life. Her cancer did come back after 18 months of being off of treatment. The fear and pain were unimaginable.

Although, Daisy's scans are clean, we hold our breath and pray that they stay this way.

I have learned so many things about childhood cancer that I never knew before. I also know that I and others can make a difference for these kids fighting for their lives. I'm shaving my head to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
