I'm coloring my hair and then shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true, and childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures. But first, I thought it would be fun to have the students, staff & friends at Beaumont help me decide which color I should dye my hair for the 2 weeks prior to our shave date, June 4th. All I ask is that your class (any period) donates $10.00 in order to have a vote. Multiple “votes” are allowed.
Will your class make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
Check my before photo after May 23rd to find out which color wins!
Here is the final vote tally:
0 - Red
3 - Orange
17 - Green
1 - Blue
26 - Purple
1 - Pink (2015 winner)
And PURPLE wins!!!
Submissions will be accepted in the office through the end of the day, Tuesday, May 17th and are only valid with this form, an adult’s signature, and a $10.00 donation (online donations are accepted – follow up with me to get your online vote counted). Results will be available May 18th and John will come to school with dyed hair the following Monday, May 23rd.
*If the contest ends in any form of a tie, I will incorporate the tied colors in my hair in some way (2 color maximum).
