My Story

Mia was diagnosed in early January with Stage IV Wilms. In February, Mia underwent surgery to remove her kidney, gall bladder, adrenal glands and lymph nodes. She's currently undergoing chemo and radiotherapy at Queen Mary's, Hong Kong to treat the remaining tumors in her liver and lungs. Mia has amazed her family, friends and doctors with her bravery, humor and enthusiasm over the last three months. She's recently started to ride her bicycle again, she's been going to her friend's birthday parties, and has just started to re-attend school (DBIS in Discovery Bay). She's been a genuine inspiration to us all. Her father is one of the DB Dads shavees at the April 24th Delaneys event in Hong Kong.
