I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Hello everyone-for the 4th consecutive year I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Worldwide, 175,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. And in the U.S., more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. I am fortunate to have been blessed with two heathly, beautiful daughters and have not had to endure the pain that so many families go through every day. For the majority of us we will never know what it is like to tell your child that they have cancer and have to explain why them. These kids are so inspiring because they are so tuff and determined to fight. Most often they have a smile on their face and never complain or feel sorry for themselves. Together we are making a difference. In the last 5 years alone the St. Baldricks organization has raised over $170 million dollars to help fund this important research. St. Baldricks uses this money to fund a variety of research projects across the US to include the state of Michigan. Currently the St. Baldricks organization is supporting 19 different projects in Michigan alone. Please consider supporting me as I shave my head so one day no child has to suffer and no parent ever has to know this pain.
