Hey everyone, this will be my 4th event in 4 years to help an outstanding organization raise funds to help find a cure for childhood cancers. I truly believe in St. Baldrick's as an upstanding respectable charitable organization. I have done extensive research on how they give the money they raise away, and I can assure you they are LEGIT!!!!
We are doing this event in conjunction with the Irish American Society of County Will and their Will County Celtic Fest along with the St. Patrick's Grade School All Years Reunion.. Both organizations help to raise money to help others in our community as well as abroad. That is why it is such a perfect fit to do a St. Baldrick's event and help them raise money.
Most of you know me as a guy that wants to help others. I am the Vice-President of the Irish American Society of County Will. I also began the effort to resurrect The St. Pats Alumni Assoc. a couple of years ago, with the help of many people. Together both groups have raised funds for a couple of different scholarships. When the idea to bring St. Baldrick's into the mix and make an effort to help bring a cure to such a MISERABLE disease it was an absolute NO Brainer....
So PLEASE get out that checkbook or credit card ( I know times are tough, and everyone is asking for donations. But, this is a true Hero organization that helps many people. ), and sponsor me in my fight to help fight Childhood Cancer, and cancer in general.
We have ALL lost loved ones to this miserable disease, please " Give till it hurts ".....just kidding....whatever you can give would be outstanding.....
The last time I did this I set a goal of $500 and raised $818, the year before almost $1400,..because of you great people........Can you help me beat that???
Thank You, GOD Bless and Slainte'..........Chris Schaal
