I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

On April 12th, I would like to commemorate my grandmother who lived with cervical cancer for the last 20 years. She underwent radiotherapy from the time I was born, but that did not stop her from leading her life the way she wanted. My grandmother demonstrated that nothing is short of the impossible. Even after her diagnosis she was still a committed mother to her 11 children and 23 grandchildren. On our last day together, we exchanged very few words. As I said goodbye, I didn't quite understand what was happening. I certainly didn't want to believe it was the end. I didn't want to accept that such a beautiful life was disappearing before my eyes. By shaving my head, I would like to remind others of how powerful each individual can be. My goal will be to inspire others to take their part in the fight against cancer. We each carry the responsibility of building a safer environment for our loved ones in the future, especially children who are affected so early in their lives. If you believe in my cause, I would greatly appreciate any donations to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. All funds will go towards childhood cancer research. Together we can help fund research for current and future cancer survivors! ********************************
