I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

A dear friend asked me if I was doing this for someone special. It's a great question and the answer is a bit complicated, but I'll try my best. I'm doing this for my daughter because being a parent opens your heart to an indescribable type of love. And I am so fortunate to have this little miracle. I can't imagine the hardships these families face and hopefully knowing one more person is on their side gives them a little bit of hope.
I'm doing this for my husband because he has taught me to pursue what I believe in and is amazing enough to just go " ok love" when I said I'm becoming a shavee for St.Baldrick's.
I'm doing this for friends and family who have always been by my side and have shaped the person I am through their love and kindness.
I'm doing this for family and friends who have faced cancer. People who taught me to enjoy life to the fullest each and every day.
I'm doing this for people everywhere because I believe you can change the world. Even if it starts with a simple act of kindness such as a smile. Find what makes your heart sing and dance to the beat like nobody is watching.
I'm doing this for me. Because although I will eventually be bald, and people will probably stare, if it makes one child smile my heart will glow
